The Tiyya Foundation is a 501c3 community based organization, dedicated to assisting local refugee families in Orange County. We are a group of volunteers with interests in providing ESL Coaching, Soccer Coaching, Family Mentoring and Homework Tutoring to refugee youth and their families. We interested in expanding our group and are looking for people with international development backgrounds and appreciate multicultural communities.

Everyone’s story deserves to be told!  Empowerment Through Storytelling is a series of writing workshops designed to give immigrant/refugee participants a platform to share their voice. Working with 8-10 adults in each ten-week class, attendees have the opportunity to express themselves through various artistic models including creative writing, photo journaling, and visual art. This group is for parents of school-age "only" children who are searching for fun, meaniful & creative activities to participate in. ALL kids are welcome because an "only" can be that late-life baby, a boy in a house full of girls, (or a girl in a house full of boys), the child who just needs something of their own or those times when you've got your child and nothing to do.
